ÖSD Exam - What is it?

The ÖSD (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch) - (Austrian Language Diploma for German) is an internationally recognized examination system for German as a foreign and second language. The examination is based on the level descriptions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It consists of a written and an oral part and is offered in 6 diploma levels (A1 to C2).
Das ÖSD (Österreichische Sprachdiplom Deutsch) ist ein international anerkanntes Prüfungssystem für Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache. Die Prüfung orientiert sich an den Niveaubeschreibungen des Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmens für Sprachen (GERS). Sie besteht aus einem schriftlichen und einem mündlichen Teil und wird in 6 Diplomstufen (A1 bis C2) angeboten.
For admission to studies, for moving to German speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein), etc., you must have a certain level of German language skills. With this language test you can prove your knowledge. The certificate is recognized in all institutions (be it the university or the consulate) as a linguistic access qualification.

Für die Zulassung zum Studium, für den Zuzug in die deutschsprachigen Länder (Deutschland, Österreich, die Schweiz, Lichtenstein) o. Ä. muss man genügend Deutsch sprechen. Mit dieser Sprachprüfung kannst du deine Kenntnisse nachweisen. Das Zeugnis wird in allen Einrichtungen (sei es die Hochschule oder das Konsulat) als sprachliche Zugangsberechtigung anerkannt.

The Beagle Academy (Business Experts' Academy for German Language Education, Inc.) is a certified examination center of the ÖSD and conducts monthly examinations (A1 to B2).

When do I have to pay the fees?

The examination fee must be paid at least 4 weeks before the exam date.

The enrollment for the German exams from level A1 – B2 for internal and external candidates is only online (by e-mail)! Please check the correctness of the information and transfer the respective amount.

When is the next ÖSD Exam?

The next exam is in October 17th and 18th for A1, B1 and B2.
